T-Mobile G1 on Fido

As many know I have high hopes on Google's Android Platform and even when the G1 is not the very best piece of hardware I decided to order one from Ebay. I know I can apply as an Android Developer, pay the $25 fee and order a Dev G1 from Google, but I really wanted the white one, which is only on T-Mobile. After a few days and CAD$560 I received my phone and I must say: It rocks! :) Here are some pictures:
From Android G1
The box is nice and you can almost see the 8GB microSD card that came with the phone (nice deal!)

Compared to my iPhone the package is way bigger, but it's because it comes with a lot of extras.

This is compared to my iPhone 1st Gen. (My girlfriend will be using it from now on)

All the accessories. Too bad it doesn't have a stereo jack, but the adapter looks handy.

I wasn't able to connect at the beginning because I followed this post: http://oliverfisher.blogspot.com/2008/10/android-g1-phone-in-canada-on-rogers.html The problem is that those settings are for 2G SIM cards and the new 3G SIMs will use this settings: Name: Fido APN: internet.fido.ca Username: fido Password: fido MCC: 302 MNC: 370 So far the phone is working really nice. All Google applications work perfectly. The IM application seems basic but coming from an iPhone everything that offer me notifications is fantastic. (because you have services running on background) I haven't tried the Android market yet (only downloaded a few twitter applications) but seems OK. Starting from tomorrow I can debug my Android app directly on the device. More information: http://twit2go.com/
